S.D. Boroumand

S.D. Boroumand moved to the United States from Germany in 2002, introducing a higher standard of care for scoliosis patients in the Bay Area.

Mr. Boroumand graduated from a physical therapy school in Germany in 1995 and is a licensed physical therapist assistant in the United States. He is also a licensed orthopedic manual therapist in Germany and holds certification in the Schroth scoliosis method.

He is the author and founder of the Bodywork for Scoliosis, the only manual therapy technique specifically designed to address scoliosis.

Mr. Boroumand learned and was trained in the Schroth Method in 1995 as part of his physical therapy program in Germany. Additionally, he received Schroth certification at the Asklepios Katharina Schroth Klinik in 2013.

In 2000, he started and completed his training in GYROTONIC and GYROKINESIS. He is also certified in GYROTONIC specialized equipment, the Arch Way (Ladder), and the Jumping Stretching Board. In 2005, he completed his second massage therapy certification program and is pursuing certification in myofascial release technique.

He is a passionate soccer player, likes to work out, plays the guitar, and likes to cook.
